Not my first blog

That's the best way to start a novel. :-)

I have friends for over 10 years that I got to know in the old listserv days... but I dunno about these new-fangled bloggy things.
I don't mean to come off snarky, truely. I see good things in the way we are able to communicate globally. Heck, I found a very distant relative with geneaology research on my family dating back to 1602 via the internet! I guess it's just hard to wade through all the dating woes and pictures of my cat (yeah, mine too) to get to the meat. But that is the way many things are, like writing - sometimes you have to put a lot down to get through to the good stuff...

...what kind of Starbuck's drink Joe had for breakfast today and how he spilled some on his crotch just before getting into work. He'll tell you he's getting fat (Starbuck's much?) and how that hot girl in accounting was staring at his crotch...

Sounds like a perfect opening for your Nano novel.

Agreed with the 'yawn' blogs - I'm not good at being that nice to people as a rule and get frustrated pretty easily - especially with emo girl 'Gothic' blogs that are just so narcissic - oh crikey - *rushes back to check her own vox isn't like that* - "oh noooooooooooooooo - I've got a raven..."
